We decided this would probably be implemented in Tracksys and acknowledged that these records don't need to pull information from other sources.  It may be generally appropriate to have the AP Trust integration with whatever system manages the master file.

Items would be eligible for AP Trust inclusion based on their preservation tier.  Tier 2 would go to AP Trust glacier, Tier 3 would go to normal (expensive) AP Trust.  Since no one has made these assessments for anything in the tracking system, we'll proceed under the assumption that the Holsinger collection should be Tier 3.  This is based on the fact that the original materials are unique and fragile, and that in some cases the digital files have outlived the originals.

AP Trust only allows a single alternative identifier.  Please include the PID in the AP Trust submission metadata (encoded as alternate ids within aptrust-info.txt).

Users of Tracksys should be able to see the status of APTrust submission from item records.

Users of Tracksys should be able to search on Preservation Tier (and possibly AP Trust status).

Aries users will be able to see the status of these due to the AP Trust Aries endpoint (already completed).
